Overview: This silent-era martial arts movie starred Wang Yuanlong and brothers Wang Xuechang and Wang Yingzhi. It was the first production from their newly formed San Long Film Company and its success, along with great athleticism, made Yuanlong a popular martial arts star in Shanghai in the ’20s. The film was the first of many martial arts productions Wang was involved with as a lead actor, director and/or character actor, including two sequels in 1929 and a remake in Hong Kong in 1950.
